Education in International British School began in 2008. The school was founded through the vision of Mrs. Shamila Ahmed, our principal who retains her office till date.

The International British School inspires students to live with purpose, passion, and integrity, the essence of the world community, of an extraordinary group of students and faculty who work, and learn together on the campus. The school follows the British curriculum.

Our teachers’ educational qualification ranges from doctorate to bachelor degree with teaching certificates or teaching degree and teacher license from their country and supreme education council (SEC). Some Arabic and Islamic studies teachers who teach from K G to year 2, passed their higher secondary from Qatari schools and having teacher license from SEC. They are dedicated, talented and hard-working to mould the future generation.

Our principal, Mrs. Shamila Ahamad, an Indian national is the founder principal and one of the management members. She holds masters in international business administration, a post-graduation in information and communication technology and a bachelor in electrical and electronics engineering. She has more than a decad’s teaching experience from India and Qatar and more than five years administrative experience. Before joining our school, she was teaching mathematics and ICT in MES Indian School, Qatar which is the largest and one of the oldest schools in Qatar. She was the principal to International academic society, Qatar; an after school training centre during the academic year 2007 – 2008.

Our Key stage one coordinator is Mrs. Wa’ila Al Naimi. She has over twenty years teaching and working experience in British curriculum schools and American school in Doha, Qatar.

Our key stage two coordinator is Mrs. Ambily. She has over ten years teaching experience in India and 4 years in our school.
