Park House English School

We have formed a partnership with Bonas MacFarlane, one of London’s most respected providers of private tuition and educational adviceâ? This partnership will allow Park House students access to some of the best tutors on the international market. Our first two tutors are:

ANDREW LAITHWAITE

with a BA in History and Politics from the University of Oxford. After graduating, Andrew has had three years experience in private tuition with a focus on humanities written work and Oxbridge applications.

Andrew is a keen traveller and has spent time as a volunteer teacher in Uganda and Tanzania. He has been involved in many drama productions, choirs and jazz bands.

Andrew is able to provide tutoring in the following areas:

• A Level English, History, Politics and Drama
• Timed questions and exam technique for essay-based subjects, up to and including A Level
• University applications to read History and/or Politics at Oxford Univeresity, including personal statements, the History Aptitude Test (HAT) and interview practice
• IGCSE Humanities and English

In addition to examination work Andrew offers general tutoring, as well as mentoring at KS3 level and below.

EDWARD IMRIE

Edward graduated with a MChem in Chemistry from the University of Oxford. He completed his secondary education at Westminster School, London. After graduating, Edward completed a GDL from the BBP Law school.

Additionally, he has had two years experience in private tuition having tutored all levels in Maths and Science and a year teaching in a preparatory school in England. Edward has a keen interest in travel and sport.

Edward is able to provide tutoring in the following areas:

• A Level Mathematics and Chemistry (including exam technique/practice preparation)
• Assistance with an Oxbridge application (which includes personal statement help or interview practice)
• IGCSE Mathematics and Science (Chemistry, Biology and Physics)

In addition to examination work Edward offers general tutoring, as well as mentoring at KS3 level and below.

Finally, he has just completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) Course and can provide tutoring in this area.
