Sunbeam Centre of Excellence – Al Sadd

Sunbeam Kindergarten opened doors of its centre of excellence in September 2003 for children with Special Educational Needs up to 12 years.
The specially designed school is located next to the Kindergarten in the secure confines of the Al Bayyan Gardens Compound, Near to Al Saad Sports Stadium.
A large bright multi purpose hall feeds 3 large fully resourced Special Education classrooms, 2 Therapy room with a third Therapy room located outside. The British Special Educational Needs (SEN) curriculum is used to teach all the children, along with the child’s own Individual Educational Plan. There is a large fully equipped outdoor playground including grassed area, sandpit and cycling space.
At the heart of the Kindergarten is a team consisting of, Principal, SEN Teachers, Educational Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapists, Family Support Specialist, and assitants dedicated to encourage your child to reach their full development. Each child is encouraged to grow in independence to prepare for formal schooling. Sunbeam also has a UK Special Educational Needs Consultant who visits Doha 3 times a year.
