Tots Corner is a well-established nursery, which has existed since 2002. The HighScope Nursery provides high quality care and education for children from the age of 12 months to four years old. We work closely with our families to facilitate their child’s learning and development by providing a wide variety of activities and experiences.
All children have a key person who is primarily responsible for their care.
This enables our loving practitioners to get to know each child well and to plan individual activities based on each child’s likes, interests and learning style.
Our nursery offers your child the opportunity to learn and develop in a safe, secure and supportive environment. It is split in 6 classes according to the ages, which range from 1 to 4 and gently move up trough the nursery until they start school.
At Tots Corner Nursery we cover one to two themes every month. The children will talk about the theme in the classes and they will do activities and artwork related to the theme. We might cover topic themes like, all about me, healthy Food, planting, or transportation.
The themes will help to cover all academic subjects necessary to aid development areas such as math’s, science, language, music, art, movement and social skills.
Tots Corner endeavors to cultivate a community of families and teachers working together. Together they provide a safe, stimulating, and positive environment that enhances and fosters the physical, emotional, cognitive, creative and social development of individual children. This will be implemented by our emergent curriculum where children learn through doing.
